General Groups Info

Cliffhanger welcomes and encourages visits by groups, whether they be schools, clubs, associations, work groups or even a group of friends. We can even open outside our normal trading hours for group bookings, if you have sufficient numbers.

With over 70 ropes/walls and over 300 different climbs of varying difficulties, separate Bouldering Areas, Outdoor Walls and 13mt Climbing ladder and Sisal rope, Cliffhanger is the best equipped climbing gym in Melbourne for your group booking.

Group Bookings usually require a minimum of 10 people, but refer to the particular group type above for minimum numbers. For bookings outside our normal hours, the following minimum numbers and deposits are required:

Groups starting after 11am and before 12:00 Weekdays	20	50%
Groups starting after 5pm and before 7pm Saturday	20	75%
Groups starting after 7pm Saturday	30	100%

If you would like a special program tailored to your needs, please contact The Manager and we would be pleased to provide a quote. We can provide A/V Equipment, abseiling, BBQ's, just about anything you require.

Note, our group rates are dependant on the time of the day or day of the week. Our time zones are:

Off-Peak: Weekdays before 5:30 pm (the group session must be completed by 5:30 pm)

Peak: Weekdays after 5:30 pm and all weekends and Public Holidays.

To select the correct group rate for your particular group type, please select the appropriate Group Type from the Groups menu (see left).

Please note that ALL group bookings MUST be made in writing, using our Group Booking Form. No booking is considered firm until we receive the completed Group Booking Form and relevant Deposit.

The quickest way to send the Group Booking Form and Deposit to us is via fax on (03) 9369 2400.

We will then confirm that booking for you in writing. If you do not receive a confirmation within 2 days of sending the Group booking form, please call us.
