VET Courses:

The following information may be useful for teachers running Outdoor Education Programs under the VET System and providing training to the SRO National Training Packages.

These SRO assessment sheets are used by Cliffhanger Staff to assess students against the SRO's in a practical assessment. Written Assessment is also possible using a different Test Sheet.

DEET Safety Guidelines for Education Outdoors (2007)

In October 2007, the Department of Education (Vic) released new Risk Management Policies for secondary schools, Safety Guidelines for Education Outdoors. After investigation, we believe these do not apply to us, as students will be climbing in an "artificial environment" and the Department distinguishes between the real and artificial environments. For those that wish to follow these guidelines, for indoors as well, we have created a document that answers all of the questions you will need to answer whilst completing Risk Management Forms.

Victorian InterSchool Sport Climbing Championships

The 2008 date has been set early this year, so that we could get it listed on the VOEA Calendar. The 2008 date is MONDAY 16TH JUNE.
