Black Diamond KNIFE BLADES

Classic pitons for thinner cracks, they have precision-ground blades for a consistent taper and a hole in the thickest part of the head to reduce weight without sacrificing strength or durability. We recommend the offset eyes be used for clipping.  

Knifeblades and Bugaboos are designed for shallower cracks. Both are bent and precision-ground for a plethora of possible thin-crack placements. Bugaboos are a slightly beefier version of the Knife-blades. They both have ground-tapered blades resulting in a consistent blade shape‚ optimum for both strength and holding power.
